Kenneth Tyler grew up in Graves County, KY and attended Murray State University. However, during his time at the university, he didn't study art. In fact it was not until he was 53 that he first began to experiment with sculpture as a form a physical therapy.
Kenneth's work has been called Folk Art and Outsider Art. It is definitely unique, and in the four years since first showing his work, he has made a name for himself. You might find just about anything in Kenneth Tyler's sculpture. There will be ordinary things like plastic and clay, but he also has been known to include orange peels and cicada shells.
Kenneth's award-winning work attracts a lot of attention, and there are collectors who will drive from out-of-state just to see and purchase new work.
Kenneth is also on the committee to plan Mayfield, KY's Gourd Patch Arts Festival, and is a volunteer for the Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild.
